Visit Geeveston in Tasmania and reminisce if you are a Rosehaven fan

Welcome to Time to Travel, travel and cruise tips. Geeveston is a small town located in the Huon Valley in the southeast of Tasmania while this video is about Geeveston I’d like to focus on ABC television comedy series Rosehaven as the majority of the scenes were filmed here.

Many Australians myself included got to know Geeveston through this show. If you’re a fan of Rosehaven come and visit Geeveston Information Visitor Center. It is located on the Main Street of the town. Once you enter the door you will see a big Rosehaven sign. Beneath it is some memorabilia from this popular series and there are many photos of the cast in action the two main characters Emma and Daniel acted by Cecilia Paquola and Luke McGregor are of course featured here.

Only a few meters away on the opposite side of the street we have found this butcher. If you’re a fan of Rosehaven I’m sure you can recognise it straight away. This is a 24-hour butcher in the show it was really great to actually walk on the streets in Geeveston and see scenes like this. Another great place to check out if you’re a Rosehaven fan is the Longley Hotel.

In there you’ll find the popular pub featured in Rosehaven where many scenes were filmed. The hotel was built in 1861 and it has the longest huon timber bar in the world Why not grab a drink and have a close look at this photo wall and see how many photos from Rosehaven you can pick out.

Longley Hotel as its name suggests is located in the town called Longley which is about 40 kilometers Northeast of Geeveston Apart from Rosehaven being filmed here Huon Valley has so much more to offer than expected.
